Automotive Retailing & Distribution - Systems & Processes

Woods & Seaton Information Service

Step by step since 1973, Woods & Seaton have become accepted internationally as an independent source of valuable information and advice on IT based systems, services and processes in international Automotive Distribution and Retailing.

Our core service is the compilation, publication via an annual Subscription Service of the Woods & Seaton Briefings - Current Events in Context and Reviews of significant topics.

  • The content of these is the result of first-hand independent research and analysis based on almost 40 years of experience.
  • We do not depend on industry press releases. We are not aligned with, nor are we investors in, any automotive systems or service providers or organisations directly involved with vehicle manufacture and distribution.

Our subscribers (many of long standing) vary in size from small companies to global enterprises spread across Europe, North America and more widely.

Our aim is to provide a unique and authoritative Information Service at a cost that can readily be justified by companies who value it as an important component in creating and maintaining their own competitive business strategies.

For our April 2012 to March 2013 Subscription Year we are offering a package containing:-

  • Briefings - delivered by e-mail
  • Reviews of significant topics - delivered by e-mail
  • Year-end Summary and Searchable Contents List

Further details of each of the four components above are provided in the Annual Subscription downloadable. pdf

In addition we offer...

  • Specific research and analysis services
  • Assistance with Dealer systems strategy planning

To keep oursleves up-to-date, we maintain regular contacts with..

  • Dealers, Groups and Independent Repairers
  • Vehicle Manufacturers (OEMs) and Importers
  • Finance Sources - captive and independent
  • Providers of Systems, Data and Services.

In this market, organisation and IT are strongly influenced by commercial politics, especially between the OEMs and their dealers, which make this environment one of the most complex in which to implement systems and processes.

  • Our Analyses clarify not only the IT but the business issues and politics that influence it.
